We also have customer site visits available near our home office to see sites that utilize our solutions, and get first-hand information about their processes, equipment, and partnership with TCGRx.
2. TCGRx Design Engineers
Once you are ready for pharmacy automation, if we determine workflows changes will need to be included, a workflow engineer can develop a layout that fits your space and needs. Your current script volume, workflow, inventory and labor requirements will be analyzed to determine how to resolve any concerns and issues you and your facility may be facing. Our experts will design your new layout and walk you through the new workflow to make sure the design fits your pharmacy’s needs.
Our lead workflow engineer has over 15 years of market experience with pharmacy design, optimization, analytics, and pharmacy strategy. He has been part of the TCGRx team for the past 6 years, and has visited over 500 pharmacies in all pharmacy markets in North America, including Outpatient pharmacies. He works with you to make sure our solutions are effectively utilized to their maximum potential.
Outpatient Pharmacy Design Examples
Outpatient pharmacies are typically last on the list for space when it comes to hospital budgets. To make the most of the space in your pharmacy, our Beacon® Inventory Management is designed to maximize even the smallest spaces. By taking advantage of barcode and pick-to-light technology, Beacon® fits more bottles per square foot than any traditional fixture. In addition, all fixtures are mobile, so if your space needs to be reconfigured in the future, the fixtures will still fit your space.
Beacon workstations are designed for techs and pharmacists to handle every process of the script filling cycle. The countertops are deep enough to accommodate machines like our AVF-6 Vial Filler or our CompletePac machines. All Beacon fixtures are designed for first-in, first-out, to reduce expired medication count. The workstations hold small or bulk bottles, utilize flat or speed shelves, and the number of shelves can be configured.
With Beacon, stocking will become faster, the filling of prescriptions simplified, and auditing inventory will be easier. The high-density drawers are customizable for small or large bottles, liquids, vials or storage, and fit an average of the same amount of inventory in 11 square feet as 160 linear feet of traditional shelving.
