We are currently seeking a Health Systems Sales Director to join our professional sales organization. Responsible for overseeing assigned territories such as Chicago, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Boston and Philadelphia. 

Job Overview:

The Sales Director is primarily responsible for working closely with prospects and customers to identify, recommend, and sell appropriate TCGRx workflow solutions into pharmacy settings.  Responsibilities also include direct communication with pharmacy owners and operators, finance personnel, and information technology personnel.  The Sales Director will be responsible for collaborating with an inside sales team member or members, along with other internal resources to advance our market presence and brand awareness.  The sales director will develop and manage sales leads, develop sales proposals, facilitate engagements with additional TCGRx personnel as needed, close new business in a complex selling environment, and ensure customer commitments are communicated to our implementation and service team leaders.  Primary communication methods include telephone contact, in-person meetings, e-mail and written follow-up, webinars and tradeshow representation. 

The Sales Director also has responsibility for selling additional products and service contracts to existing clients, as required.    The Sales Director will be required all sales quotas under the direction of the VP of Sales.    


The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Visit existing customer pharmacies and prospective pharmacies in assigned territory
  • Develop demonstrable knowledge of all TCGRx solutions and their business application
  • Qualify leads and demonstrate mastery of a consultative sales process 
  • Provide accurate view of pipeline, by sales stage, via CRM or a similar tool TBD by management 
  • Demonstrate an ability to overcome objections by utilizing effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately forecast products and revenue for assigned territory 60+ days in advance of orders 
  • Prospect and close business equivalent to, or greater than, assigned quota  
  • Network, develop, and manage strategic relationships in assigned territory
  • Schedule and facilitate new customer hand-off calls internally with implementation team members
  • Regularly participate on team calls and during sales meetings and regular business reviews, report competitive information and relevant market trends  
  • Update CRM database daily with activity
  • Report travel and expense information in a timely manner, and other administrative duties as needed
  • Professionally represent TCGRx at all times when engaging both internal and external customers and prospects
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President or other executives, as required
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of time 
  • Must pass background check and drug screening tests


  • Should have five (5) or more years of relevant, business to business sales experience  
  • Pharmacy or healthcare sales experience strongly preferred 
  • Must have a proven track record of meeting/exceeding a defined sales quota.


  • BA/BS degree preferred

  • Familiar with pharmacy workflow and reimbursement, or demonstrated ability to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply/demonstrate solutions, including technical aspects 
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycle while maintaining adequate pipeline
  • Strong time and territory management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and leverage resources in an impactful manner 
  • Comfortable using a CRM tool, and Citrix GoToMeeting or similar conference call and webinar scheduling tool
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
