Ideal for high-volume pharmacies, automated vial filling (AVF) automatically counts and fills prescription meds, dispensing them into a vial to be labeled, packaged and shipped, and freeing up technician time for the patient. AVFs free up technician time by pre-counting scripts, ensuring accuracy of the counts, as well as accuracy of the medication being dispensed. TCGRx’s AVF-64 combines a pre-staging carousel that holds up to ten orders, dispensing them on-demand for waiting customers. To ensure patient safety, an external six canister device accommodates do-not-mix medications via dedicated chutes for dispensing allergens like penicillin.
